It’s relatively easy for organisations to self-certify or meet accreditor requirements by being, shall we say, economical with the truth so I always look at these schemes with a healthy dose of scepticism.
But I also recognise that a formal baseline is always welcome when evaluating our organisation, suppliers and partners.
The NCSC have updated Cyber Essentials to better reflect the new “post” COVID world of increased remote working, BYODs and Cloud Services.

It’s a pity they have only provided the guidance documents and not a simple to extract check list that can easily be worked through.
